Ich sichere meine Partitions auf eine USB-Platte. Mit IDE-Platten hatte ich das Problem nie, was aber logisch ist.

Probier auf die (wirklich) neueste Version upzudaten, sprich Patch.
Es wundert mich doch sehr, dass es nicht läuft, ich hab meine HDDs auf AHCI eingestellt.
