Im gleichen c't war übrigens ein Artikel über die 8800 (S.82 'Heisses Eisen'). Wow! Besonders, dass alle Texturen unabhängig von ihrer Ausrichtung ge-AFed werden. Bis dato und bei < X1xxx Radeons und < 8800 Geforces, wurden nur die vertikalen, horizontalen und 45° geneigten Texturen ge-AFed.

@ Rolf, c't 25/06 ist von Ende November. Es ist vermutlich nicht mehr erhältlich. :-( Vielleicht kann ein Freund, die Bibliothek oder ein lieber Nachbar helfen?
@ Andreas, looking for verbal ammo? Perhaps describe the issue in an English lingo forum like i.e. Avsim or Flyaway? Personally, I would give the sales person one chance to address it or not (an attitude check). If this doesn't work, I'ld immediately take it to his/her superior officer and make it very clear you were lied to. This might sound silly, but please don't get emotional in the process. Keep your final objective in mind. ;-) Good luck.
