E.2) Deleting redundant display entries in my FS9.CFG will increase my frame rates. How do I do this?:
Every time you update your display drivers, FS9 will add an entry to your FS9.cfg file. This can cause redundant entries that may also reduce the performance of FS9.
For example, if you had a GeForce3 Ti 200 card installed but upgraded to a Radeon 9800 Pro, you might see the following two entries in different parts of your FS9.CFG file:
[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200.0]
Mode=1280x960x32
AntiAlias=1
[DISPLAY.Device.RADEON 9600 SERIES.0]
Mode=1280x960x32
AntiAlias=1
You can search for duplicate entries by pressing CTRL+F and typing [DISPLAY in the window. Pressing FIND NEXT will cycle you through all occurrences of this text in your FS9.CFG.
You should remove all [DISPLAY.Device entries except the one that matches your currently used video display adapter. This will save you some overhead within MSFS.
