Eagle Field, Dos Palos, California
Built in 1942, Eagle Field is the lone survivor of what were dozens of USAAF primary flight training fields throughout country. Nearly one quarter of the field's original buildings survive to this day including the hospital, one of the original hangars, some barracks, and the administration building which is now home to a museum dedicated to Eagle Field and local military history.
