Thank you for using Logitech's Electronic Technical Support. The following information has been submitted by our technical staff in response to your original question. You may wish to print this out and/or save this on your computer.
RESOLUTION:
==========
Built into the Windows 98 operating system is a System Configuration Utility. Using this utility makes it easy to boot your system without resident programs loading from the Windows Registry, the StartUp folder, and system files. To launch the utility, click on the "Start" button from the Windows desktop and select "Run". In the open command line, type MSCONFIG and click "OK". The System Configuration Utility should appear.
From the "General Tab", there are 3 types of startup procedures:
1. Normal-Loads all device drivers and software on the system.
2. Diagnostic Startup-An interactive startup procedure that lets the user decide at boot up which device drivers will be loaded.
3. Selective Startup-Allows the user to choose which system files will be processed upon startup.
Before beginning, it is recommended that you create a backup using the "Create Backup" button. Then select the option for Selective Startup option. Take the check mark out of the box stating "Load startup group items". Then click Apply and OK. Once Windows has finished booting, try re-installing the Logitech software. Before installing, it is a good idea to make sure you have the latest release of your software. You can check for updated software at the following URL:
www.logitech.com/cf/support/index.cfm.
Once you have installed your Logitech product properly you may return your system to its normal startup. To do this, use the instructions above to open MSCONFIG again. Place the checkmark back onto "Normal Startup", or whatever option was selected when you first opened MSCONFIG. Click OK and reboot when prompted. If necessary, click the Restore Backup Button. If this reinstallation fails to resolve your issue you will need to contact our technical support department at 1-702-269-3457 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Ende des Zitates:
Ich werde es probieren und sehen ob´s hilft??
