NCQ und natives SATA (mit Bootfähigkeit) müssen vorhanden sein bei oder an beiden Enden der Verbindung.
Weiters ist SATA III und SAS das Mittel der Wahl.

SATA III erlaubt externe Verbauten, Hot swapping als Muss und nicht als Kann sowie Kabel von 3m Länge, was das eigentliche Ziel jeder peripheren Anschlussmöglichkeit sein sollte, nämlich lange Kabel zu haben, wenn es notwendig wird.
