War gar kein Scherz!
Zitat:
Servers come with a renovated version of the PPro-Orion chipset (450GX).
The new one called 450NX is capable of handling a system clock of 100 MHz, however, and can drive 64-Bit PCI busses.
The NX supports EDO-RAMs - but it does not know SDRAMs yet. It did inherit the interleave feature from Orion though: With quadruple interleave (needs four identical EDO-DIMMs) it achieves a x-1-1-1 burst similar to SDRAMs.
Nevertheless the x is apparently smaller than it is with SDRAMs, so the memory performance is higher than that of a sdram-workstation.

64bit PCI-Bus, 4-1-1-1 Burst, sowas muß man erst mal haben.
