SYMPTOMS
When you dismount a volume, you may receive the following error message on a blue screen:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Stop 0x000000D1 (0xFF84B0DC, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xFCB6A9BC)
In most cases, this error message appears when the computer shuts down.
This behavior occurs because the file system driver did not place a reference count against a volume device object, and the object was being deleted before the current input/output (I/O) operation had completed.
