Suse hat aber zuletzt nach nichts gefragt, soweit ich mich erinnern kann.
Habe jetzt einen Treiber gefunden bei Promise, der ist aber nur für 8.0, ich habe aber eine höhere Version von Suse - aber anderen gibt's anscheinend net. Ist auch eine Anleitung dabei:
"[INSTALLATION]
2.1 To install the FastTrak Series Linux Driver into an EXISTING SYSTEM:
1) Append parameters (see Note 3.1 below) to the boot options
when system boot.
2) Insert Promise FastTrak Driver Diskette
Issue command to load new driver at the # command prompt:
# mount /dev/fd0 /floppy
# cd /floppy
# sh install (Answer Yes/No when inquire setup configuration)
You can answer Yes to load FastTrak driver when linux booting everytime.
# cd /
# umount /floppy
NOTE: All IDE channels except the first and second one are disable
for the "Linux 2.4 ATA issue". It can be enable by removing
'ide2=0 ide3=0 ide4=0 ide5=0 ide6=0 ide7=0 ide8=0 ide9=0' in
/etc/lilo.conf."
Ist mir doch etwas "hoch" das ganze so mit removing ide=0, etc
Hoffentlich hau ich mir meine bestehende Windows Installation net zsamm damit ...
