Throttle setup

Hallo Leute,

Sorry my German is very bad, but I have question about how to setup my throttle( the potmeter on the ad print).I've made a entry on the analog- and the fswrite page and that works great. How to tell fs2k2 and fsuipc to use that potmeter as throttle??

Regards Jan.

Hi

You must be sure that your potmeter is recognized by Windows.

than you can choose the potmeter like Joystick-axes in the Flight simulator menu.

i hope this is what you meen.

Best greetings christoph

Hi Jan,

if you use fsbus with AD Controller, the function is independent of any windows setup.
You need to setup the address in fsuipc. Engine1 throttle is at 0x088e as a 2Byte value.
Value -4096 - 0 is reverse thrust.
0 - 16384 is positive thrust.
Since the AD delivers values from 0 to 255, you have to multiply by 64 to get a maximum at 16384.

And again: in version 2 the setup will change and much easier (i promise).

Regards Dirk

Thanks Dirk,
But how do I setup the address H088C in FSUIPC?

Hi Jan,

In the current version, you need to define a fswrite object. In that grid there is a column where you specify this address and the type of data.

Then, you must tell the analog object, to link the values to the fswrite object.

good luck Dirk
