Bisher hat Intel versucht mit den Marken Xeon, Pentium und Celeron den Worksation-, Desktop- und Mobile-Sektor zu versorgen. Doch gerade wenn es auf viel Leistung bei einem geringen Stromverbrauch ankommt, reicht es nicht aus, die Desktop-Produkte um Stromsparfunktionen zu erweitern. Centrino muss her.
Doch was ist Centrino? Die neue Marke bezeichnet Intels modernste Technik für Notebooks. Sie basiert auf einer neuen Notebook-Prozessor-Architektur, bietet Zugang in Funknetze und ermöglicht dünnere und leichtere Notebooks mit längeren Batterielaufzeiten und hoher Systemleistung. Also genau das, worauf es im mobilen Einsatz ankommt.

computerbase schreibt dazu: "Das neue Logo für die Centrino Mobiltechnologie beinhaltet die Intel Inside Marke und verwendet ein auffälliges Magenta sowie eine vollkommen neue Form, die Leichtigkeit, Mobilität und Vorwärtsdrang signalisiert."

Wie gesat - es ist eine Marke:

Und das Logo wird sich noch aendern, schliesslich hat doch die deutsche Telekom alle Rechte auf Magenta ;) :D
