SMART disabled, oder Maxtor-einstellungen?

Hi

Ich wollte mit dem Tool DTemp und mit dem neuen MB 5 Die Temperatur meiner neuen Maxtor 120Gig (Typ:46120J6) auslessen.

Doch irgentwie geht das nicht.
Bei der IBM's die ich gehabt habe gings!
Muss ich was bei der Maxtor einstellen, sowas wie SMART oder so?
Oder fehlt mir beim neu aufgesetzten XP einen Treiber?
Den aspi V470 hab ich schon Instaliert.

Weiss da jemand bescheid?

haben die maxtor-platten überhaupt einen wärme-sensor eingebaut?

When you enable this option MBM needs to be restarted and will look for IDE drives that have (via S.M.A.R.T) a temp sensors, not all smart drives have a temp sensor. Currently the MBM code does not work on RAID configurations

hm ... hab mir auch die neueste version installiert ;) ... aber der programmierer dürfte sich seines codes auch nicht ganz sicher sein :rolleyes: ...

die option is aktiviert, aber ich find keinen sensor, mit dem ich die aktuelle temperatur auslesen kann ...

Habe eine Maxtor 6L04032 und kann davon mit dem DTEMP welches man extra installiert die Temperatur auslesen. Also einen Tempfühler hat die Maxtor. S.M.A.R.T. muss aber im Bios enabled sein.

Mit MBM (W98SE) spiele ich mich schon die ganze Zeit herum aber damit funkt es nicht. Vor allem den Hinweis zur Help File, die ich aber nicht finden kann. Nur das was pc.net schon gepostet hat.
