promise ultatx2 drängt sich vor!
 

hi!

hat zufällig wer ein asus b2bs bord mit scsi on bord mit einem
promise ulta100 tx2 ide controller.

der promise controller drängt sich ständig vor, egal was ich im bios auch einstelle - auch wenn ich ide als bootsequenz einstelle.
kann so nicht von einer scsi platte booten.

Du meinst IDE als "First Boot Device"???????? Wenn es so ist, ist es auch logisch, daß das BIOS dem Promise den Vorrang gibt!!

Nope, der Promise wird vom BIOS als SCSI-Controller verwaltet...

Du machst folgendes, die HDD Sequence auf SCSI first (BIOS Features) um den Onboard IDE hintenanzustellen. Wenn dann immer noch der Promise drankommt, dann stellst du im PnP/PCI-Setup den Punkt "Onboard AHA BIOS first" auf Yes, damit müsste der Rechner von deinem Onboard SCSI booten...
