!!! Scanner wird im Win2000 nicht erkannt !!!!
 

Hi Leute!

Ich wollte gerade meinen Scanner (Agfa Snapscan 1212p) im win2000 installieren. Es gibt dort unter Systemsteuerung einen Punkt, bei dem man Kameras und Scanner installieren kann, aber leider kommen bei mir nur die Kameras.
Wie kann ich ihn anders installieren?

Normalerweise müsste beim start des OS der scanner erkannt werden
als neue hardware komponente

es kann allerdings sein das deine usb schnittstelle nicht von win2k unterstützt wird

funktionieren andere USB geräte?

wenn nicht bringt warscheinlich ein BIOS update abhilfe

einfach auf HARDWARE klicken

ich habe keinen USB - Scanner, sondern einen am Parallelen. Darum heißt er ja auch snapscan 1212 "PPPPPPP" und nicht 1212 "UUUUUUU".

da kann ich dir leider auch nicht helfen
aber probier mal mit hardware ob er da was findet
ach ja scanner muss eingeschalten sein damit er ihn erkennen kann

Wie schon gesagt Computer neu starten (Scanner angesteckt und mit Strom versorgt), wenn der Scanner nicht automatisch erkannt wird, dann mit Hardware-Erkennung probieren. Geht das auch nicht´probier folgendes (hab´ ich von der Agfa-homepage):

First, make sure that the scanner is plugged in and properly connected to the LPT (printer) port on your computer.
If the software (FotoLook or FotoSnap) has already been installed and your system rebooted and your system will still not recognize the scanner you may need to remove the LPT port temporarily.
To do this, first boot your system to Safe Mode. (Refer to the documentation that came with Windows for instructions). Once in safe mode follow these instructions:

Click on Start.
Click on Settings.
Click on Control Panel.
Click on System.
Click on Device Manager.
Click on + sign next to SCSI Controllers.
Click on EPPSCSI mini port driver.
Click on Remove.
Click on the + sign next to Ports.
Click on Printer Port (LPT1).
Click on Remove.
Close the Control panel and reboot Windows. Your system should find the Printer port on bootup.
When your system is completely booted up, go to FotoLook or FotoSnap and the scanner should be recognized.

On the http://support.agfa.com site you can download beta drivers ScanWise 1.4.0.1 for Windows 2000 for your parallel port scanner.
This is non-released software which does not guarantee to work properly in all cases. In most cases, the drivers work without problems. Functioning under XP is not guaranteed, depends on the model: 1212 without start button works on XP, model with button doesn't work on XP, only on Windows 2000.
