proftp user anlegen
 

Hallo
Frage: Wie lege ich im Proftp einen user an, der auf ein bestimmtes Verzeichnis Zugriff hat OHNE ihn am System anzulegen. d.h. Den Benutzer soll es nur als ftp user angelegt sein.

Im Configfile ist doch eine Beschreibung wie man Anonymous Login konfiguriert, mach doch einfach sowas für das eine Verzeichnis.

War wohl kein zu schlauer Tip, für Anonymous muß man auch einen Systemuser anlegen. Was spricht eigentlich dagegen das zu tun?

You should look in the sample-configurations/ directory from your distribution tarball. Basically, you'll need to create another user on your system for the guest/anonymous ftp login.

Ok, scheinbar doch noch was gefunden:
"ProFTPD allows for the definition of "virtual" users: users who do not have accounts on the host machine, whose account information is defined in other sources. The passwords for these users are then specific only to FTP access, and thus do not expose shell access (ssh, hopefully) to unauthorized users."

War nicht uninteressant da auf unserem Server auch proftpd läuft. Allerdings hat da auch jeder von uns Shellzugriff, also ist's kein Problem. Aber man weiß ja nie ob man das nicht mal braucht.
