Proftp + Mandrake 8.2
 

Hi!
Habe Mandrake8.2 auf einem Server laufen.
Nun möchte ich den Proftp starten nur beim starten bringt er folgende Fehlermeldung (Auch wenn er beim Systemstart mitgestartet wird)

Starten des ProFTP-Server Dämons: - Fatal: <Anonymous>: directive not allowed in <Directory> context
[FEHLER]

Kann mir da jemand sagen was zu tun ist??

Weil ich gerade Citizens Thread über mir gelesen hab - in Anlehnung daran werd ich dir eine Antwort geben ;)

1)Du hast vom ProFTP Server eine sehr eindeutige Fehlermeldung erhalten
nämlich dass
2) du eine <Anonymous> Directive in einer <Directory> Directive verwendet hast.

Fazit : -> sieh zu dass die da rauskommt ?

Nachdem dieser Fehler auftritt kann es keine Standardkonfiguration sein die du da verwendest - du musst also bereits das Config-File editiert haben.

Ich nehme einfach mal dass du vergessen hast die <Directory> Directive wieder zuzumachen nachdem du den Inhalt konfiguriert hast.

Du musst den Inhalt nämlich in <Directory></Directory> einschliessen.

Füg </Directory> hinzu und der Fehler wird weg sein....
(natürlich an der richtigen Stelle)

Du hast diese Fehlermeldung bekommen :

und fragst mich was daran falsch ist ???

Jetzt funzts:)
Der wu-ftp war paralell installiert. Beide deinstalliert und dann den Proftp neu installiert.
Danke für die Bemühungen!

Hmm - ist eh klar dass jetzt geht, wu-ftpd hat damit nichts zu tun.
Mit der Neuinstallation wurde einfach das fehlerhafte proftpd Konfig-Skript durch das Standardkonfig-Skript ersetzt wo die Syntax der Befehle natürlich richtig ist.
Deswegen gehts.....

Nö, das glaub ich nicht. Ich hab nämlich vorher probiert die fehlerhaften Einträge richtig zu stellen bzw. zu entfernen, hat nichts gebracht. (Die Fehlermeldung war zwar weg, nur ließ er sich nicht beenden, man hatte keinen zugriff darauf (starten ging scheinbar auch nicht.
