Gibt's für Linux einen DVD Player?

LinDVD zum Beispiel. Gibts aber erst ein Beta davon (das aber schon ziemlich gut funktioniert)

Ja, gibts.

Habs selber noch nicht getestet, nur auf meinem alten mpg-files. Hat recht gut geklappt.

Das Programm nennt sich vlc (VideoLAN Client) und gibt´s unter http://www.videolan.org bzw.
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download.html.

Und ja, der VLC ist genial, ich benutze ihn für mpeg und verschlüsselte wie unverschlüsselte DVD's. Auch sollte man sich Ogle mal anschauen, da der die Menues unterstützt.Link kann ich keinen bieten, da die vermutliche seite grad down ist, ich also die Richtigkeit nicht überprüfen kann. Bitte in google ogle eingeben :D !

Ein Linux DVd Player, der auch DVD Menüs unterstützt; hier mal + und - :


Ogle is a DVD Player for Linux, that also supports DVD menus.

Supports DVD menus and navigation.
Reads from mounted, unmounted DVDs and hard drive.
Reads encrypted and unencrypted DVDs using libcss.
A new MPEG2 decoder with both MMX and SUN Solaris mediaLib acceleration.
Normal X11 and XFree86 Xvideo display support with subpicture overlay.
Audio and subpicture selection.
Handles advanced subpicture commands such as fade/scroll and wipe.
Detects and uses correct aspect for movie and menus.
Possible to play AC3 via S/PDIF with an external command.

- :
Basic video controls like pause, fast forward are not implemented.
No chapter drop down menu.
No angle selection during playback (angle selection in DVD menu works).
No closed caption support (not the same as subpicture subtitling).
PCM and DTS audio not supported.
To play another DVD you have to restart the program.
Karaoke mode is missing.
