Hallo

Welcome to the X-Plane 5.99 Expansion Pack!

For the first time ever, we are breaking with the tradition of giving updates
to the CODE of X-Plane, and instead giving a large array of new AIRCRAFT and SCENERY.

In fact, we plan to make this a new tradition at Laminar Research... every ".99" version
will be a compilation of the most exciting or unusual or awesome aircraft and scenery from
the entire run of that version... sort of a recap of the coolest stuff people have done
for that version run.

And what cool or unusual stuff HAVE people done with X-Plane 5.x?

=>A REALISTIC car that breaks Mach-1. (The thrust SSC).

=>An airliner piggybacking a spaceship. (NASA 747 carrying the Space Shuttle).

=>A personal Hover-Pack that you strap on to hurtle across the sky. (The SoloTrek)

=>A Russian Mach-2 airliner. (TU-144)

=>A twin-rotor contra-rotating helo. (Ka25 Hormone)

=>A plane that looks like two P-51 welded together. (P-82)

=>An air force base that makes F-18's out of custom objects. (Cold Lake AFB, CYOD)

=>An airport that makes parked airliners out of custom objects. (Orlando FL, KORD)

=>A new APT/NAV data-set from Robin Peel.

and much much more.

I, Austin Meyer, have gone through people's submissions to find the wildest, wackiest,
and just plain coolest stuff done for the X-Plane 5.x run, and present it here for all
5.x CD holders to enjoy, free of charge.

To install the new planes, simply drop the CONTENTS of AIRCRAFT folder inside your
AIRCRAFT folder.

To install the new scenery, open up the "New for RESOURCES folder".
Now drop the CONTENTS of each of the folders within into the folders of the same name
in your existing X-System folder, over-writing any files already there of the same name.

Now launch X-Plane and go flying! Be sure to check out the airports:

CYOD, EHAM, KORD, and KPHX, as well as the new aircraft.

Below are the complete credits, and have fun!

PS: I threw in a graph the designer of the Sea Fury did comparing X-Plane prediction
and the actual known performance for the Sea Fury. The two are basically identical.
