Druckertreiber - HP Deskjet
 

Suche schon seit längerem die Druckertreiber für einen HP Deskjet 500C - und zwar für Windows NT.

Auf den HP Seiten (egal welches Land) sind sie nicht aufzutreiben.

Wer von Euch kann mir weiterhelfen?

Warum nimmst nicht den von NT mitgelieferten Treiber? Bei mir funktioniert der ohne Probleme?

Hast du den bei der Standardversion dabeigehabt? Oder hast Du ein Servicepack installiert - wenn ja welches (Service Pack 4?)

Der Treiber grundsätzlich ist bei der Standardversion dabei. Ich hab das SP6a installiert. Da ist zwar eine dll dabei für den Deskjet, nur die ist recht alt. Grundsätzlich solltest Du sowieso mindestens das SP3 installiert haben.

Ich hab meinen 500C ich weis schon nicht mehr seit wann laufen und das Ding ist nicht tot zu kriegen.

Okay, dann werde ich die Standardtreiber installieren.

Noch ein Tip:
Falls Du hauptsächlich sw druckst, stelle unter Drucker - Datei - Standarddokumenteinstellungen auf sw. Der default ist nähmlich Farbdruck! Damit ersparst Du dir das lästige Löschen der Aufträge sowie das Patronenwechseln.

HP hat keinen Treiber für den DJ 500C unter WinNT entwickelt:

SOLUTION: Microsoft develops and writes the HP DeskJet printer drivers for use in Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0. Some HP DeskJet printer drivers are found in the HP list of printers in the Add Printer Wizard of Windows NT. Additional drivers can be obtained from Microsoft Windows NT support or can be downloaded from Microsoft's Internet site at www.microsoft.com. The HP DeskJet printers and corresponding printer drivers are listed below:

NOTE: The Microsoft Windows NT printer drivers do not support HP's Color Matching, ColorSmart technologies, or HP's Photo Pen and Photo Paper features. Microsoft supports their printing solutions for Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0.

WINDOWS NT 3.51
* If using an HP DeskJet 500 series printer, use the appropriate HP DeskJet 500 series printer driver in Microsoft Windows NT 3.51.

WINDOWS NT 4.0
* If using an HP DeskJet 500 series printer, use the appropriate HP DeskJet 500 series printer driver in Microsoft Windows NT 4.0.

Installing Windows NT 4.0 drivers provided by the operating system
If your printer is listed in the "Windows NT 4.0 drivers integrated into the operating system" section above and you wish to connect your printer to a computer through a network, follow these instructions for standard installation of the appropriate printer driver using the Add Printer Wizard.

Click Start, Settings, then Printers.
Double-click Add Printer.
Make sure Network Printer Server is checked and click Next.
Select the correct shared printer from the list.
Select Yes if this printer is to be the default printer or No if this printer is to handle only selected print jobs. Click Next to continue.
Click Finish to complete the installation.
