Need a new phone....
Hi to all,
I'm rather bored with my BB Storm. its a decent phone but for a blackberry, it rather sucks. My original Curve was great until the trackball went. (easy fix). The storm was good for a few months but progressively got slower due to the memory upkeep and lack of decent firmware upgrades in crucial areas. Not to mention, i just miss having a physical keyboard. So what do you guys recommend for a phone? I have Verizon and would preferably like to stay with them. the env3 seems rather boring. I do like the HTC Touch Pro 2. I'm just curious as to how the OS is. I don't want it to run fine one day then become slow as hell the next. What do you guys think? Ideas? recommendations? |

i used devices with different versions of windows mobile for the last three years (my actual one is the samsung omnia)- the HTC Touch Pro 2 looks really good and as far as i know, the support for htc devices is almost perfect- there are lots of very ambitioned rom-cooks all over the net... but always be aware, that a windows-mobile phone will never be a product, to use right "out of the box"- you have to be prepared to learn and try a lot to get a perfect indivialized piece of technology... so if you are willing/able to spend some time in setting up your smartphone, the htc-touch seems to be the right choice- if you need a "finalized" telephone- try to find another.... rgds ajw |
Maybe look for the new palm pre, verizon should offer the pre Q1/2010. There are many communities...as example have a look at precentral.net. I would buy the palm pre (now i own a iphone) because there it has a physical keybord, a smaller forrm factor ( i like slider phones), best integration (G-Mail, Calendar, ....) and there is NO Windows on board ;-).
