Gott sei Dank hat AMD beim Palomino endlich eine Kernsonde hinzugefügt. Leider wird die halt noch immer über das BIOS angesteuert.

Obwohl meine Wasserkühlung ist auch schon ausgefallen und mein PC war angeschalten und der Prozessor hat überlebt (Athlon Classic 700). War aber wirklich brennheiß!!

geh ... mit ein bisschen silicon wird das schon gehen :D

interssant wäre es zu wissen, ob die amds mit palomino kern auch noch auf die älteren boards laufen, da diese ja auch socket A unterstützen ... oder braucht man da schon wieder ein neues board ?

Sollten eigentlich schon. Obwohl sie noch ein paar Pins belegt haben, hoffentlich genügt ein normales Bios update ... ICH HOFFE ES.

Nicht daß AMD es Intel gleichtut... denn der Sockel für den P4 ist ja auch eine Totgeburt.
