X-Plane: GlobalScen. ALASKA ohne Land..
 

habe mir die Global Scenery gekauft,- alle DVD's installiert, ALASKA ist nun " ohne Land" alle Airports v. Alaska stehen im Wasser, auch der v. Anchorage (Ted Stevens). Habe die DVD " Canada and Alaska" nochmals installieren wollen,- der Installer sagte nach der Prüfung, ALLES Installiert, kein Update notwendig.
Ich glaube mal gelesen zu haben das die Reihenfolge der DVD's wichtig sei,- im beileigenden Handbuch ist aber NICHTS erwähnt !!
Habt ihr einen Rat ?!?!

Das liegt daran:

The Global-Scenery coverage is actually the same of the Shuttle SRTM mission (between 60°North and 54°South of latitude) that's about 80% of all the land on the Earth.

Alaska ist über 60°!

Aber es gibt eine Lösung. Man kann die enf.Dateien von der v.7 downloaden und dann hat man wieder Land.
Leider nicht in der Qualität wie Global Scenery aber wenigstens ist das Wasser weg und ich denke man fliegt ja nicht nur in Alaska!

Herzlichen Dank Hermann, werde das ausprobieren, die andere Scenery ist ja toll, aber das dann gleich ein TOTALAUSFALL eintritt...?!?!?
Auf der DVD steht ja " Canada and Alaska" drauf !!?!!!

Also auf nach Alaska..

Yes, there will NOT be any scenery here as you're north of the 60 latitude line. Remember, the scenery only goes from 60N to 54S latitudes. Your field is at 60.185 degrees N latitude. This limitation is due to a limitation in the source data from NASA, as the Space Shuttle that took the images was in orbit over the equator and could not see the extreme northern and southern parts of Earth.
