Fetchmail

Kennt jemand eine Moeglichkeit, Fetchmail zu ueberreden, dass es auch mit anderen Rechten als max 0710 arbeitet?

Meldung: fetchmailrc darf nicht mehr Zugriffrechte haben als -rwx--x-- (0710)

Ich haette aber gerne 0620 . . .

Nein. Ich habe eine Weboberflaeche zur Administration von Fetchmail geschrieben und suche jetzt die beste Moeglichkeit, in die Datei zu schreiben. Lesen ist nicht notwendig und das waere auch aus Sicherheitsgruenden nicht gewuenscht. Deshalb 0620.

Wenn man das irgendwo konfigurieren koennte, wuerde ich mir "sudo" ersparen . . .

BINGO! fetchmail -V -f '/home/mrpostman/.fetchmailrc' funktioniert!

Nun, bei der ersten Freude hat der Wunsch etwas mitgeholfen.

Das -V bzw. --version versetzt Fetchmail in eine Art Testmodus. Es wird brav angezeigt, was gemacht wird und es kommen keine Fehlermeldungen bez. der Dateirechte. Aber die Mails bleiben, wo sie sind . . .
