The MD-11 is incredibly complex, and nothing is "simple" in this airplane. The systems are automatic, but it's what's behind this automaticity that's so complex, and it IS different from Boeings and Airbuses.

We hope to provide more screenshots for you soon. The reason we have been reluctant to do so is that everything is in such a state of flux. What we would have showed you last month would not be the same as today. We are still trying to find the "best" way to do things. The process is continuous.

Ich denke, wenn überhaupt in 2006, wird es Weihnachten, bevor sie kommt, und meine Sorgen im Bezug auf FS9 Kompatibilität sind nicht wirklich ausgeräumt.

nach dem ausführlichen Geschwafel von Robert Randazzo neulich zum Thema FS X Spekulationen und dem Statemant jetzt von Bill Grabowski, habe ich den Eindruck, dass sich PMDG im Moment ein wenig in einem "luftleeren Raum" bewegt. Sie mögen zwar, im Gegensatz zu anderen Entwicklungsteams, ein Vorsprung in Bezug auf die Struktur des FS X haben, jedoch hilft ihnen das nicht wirklich weiter, die bestehenden sehr komplexen Add-ons und die in Entwicklung befindliche MD-11 in einem absehbaren Zeitrahmen in einen für FS X tauglichen Zustand zu versetzen.

Das Problem vom PMDG wird allerdings sein, dass einerseits die Fertigstellung der MD-11 für FS9 noch sehr viel Zeit beansprucht und andererseits der "Umbau" für FS X fast einer Neuentwicklung gleich kommt. Da die Resourcen von PMDG auch nur begrenzt sind, muss sich PMDG folgende Frage stellen: investiert man alle Resourcen in die Kompatibilität der 744 zu FSX und/oder entwicklet man zunächst die MD-11 auf Basis FS9 zu ende...oder wird es nie eine MD11 für FS9 geben und man richtet die Entwicklung von jetzt an sofort für den FS X aus.

Egal was PMDG macht, man wird so schnell keinen der Flieger für FS X sehen.

Ich kann zwar der Argumentation von Bodo nicht genau folgen, habe aber eher Zweifel was die MD-11 im FS9 angeht.

Man sieht momentan wie viel Arbeit es wird FS9 und kurz danach schon gleich FSX zu versorgen und rechnet gerade aus ob es wirtschaftlich nicht sinnvoller wäre gleich alles auf FSX auszurichten.

Aber gut, die Glaskugel ist mir gestern kaputtgegangen, also nur etwas pessimistische Einschätzung von mir :look:. Ich denke so im Dezember kann evtl. etwas erwarten, vorher wird's nix.

Was mich momentan aber sehr ärgert: Hab mir die 747-400 Frachtervariante auf der PMDG Webseite holen wollen und, mangels Kreditkarte, Paypal gewählt. Laut Paypal ist das ganze jetzt abgeschlossen, aber ich hab keinen Download-Link, keine Order-ID, nix. Zwei mails an Support sind bisher unbeantwortet geblieben, bin doch leicht enttäuscht weil sich das jetzt schon fast eine Woche hinzieht ohne Antwort.

Man munkelt, wir müssen uns bis zum FSXL gedulden ;).

2 Jahre Entwicklungszeit sind für eine PMDG normal. Beim Bus könnte ich mir aber auch 3 Jahre vorstellen.... 2008/9 könnte so hinkommen :ja:.
