mit Linux über -T-Mobile UMTS/HSDPA ins Netz ??
 

ich habe Ubuntu 6.06 installiert und will damit auch ins Internet über T-Mobile UMTS. nun läuft die T-Mobile Software aber nur unter Windows, nicht aber unter Linux. gibt es denoch eine möglichkeit ins Internet zu kommen ? habe neben Unbuntu auch XP installiert da ich da ja ins Internet kann. als Datenkarte verwende ich die T-Mobile Mobile Broadband Card 1800. ich muss dazu sagen das ich absoluter noob bin bei Linux den das habe ich erst seid 4 tagen installiert.

Ubuntu kennt die Karte bereits von selber afaik.

nee den dann würde ja die Karte wo stehen. habe einen Treiber von hier installiert nur so ganz sehe ich da nicht durch: http://pharscape.org/

so habe den Treiber endlich laden können und zwar so:

cp /tmp/t-mobile/nozomi.ko /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/misc/
depmod -a
modprobe nozomi

mit pppconfig habe ich so weit auch alles einstellen können nur bei dem Modem weiß ich nicht welches Device ich angeben muss. bei den Anleitungen fand ich immer nur das man /dev/ttyUSB0 angeben muss oder ttyS0.

in /dev/ sind jetzt noz0, noz1, noz2 und noz3 dazu gekommen daher denke ich das statt /dev/ttyUSB0 ich /dev/noz0 eintragen muss. wenn ich dann aber pon t-mobile in der Konsole eintrage geschieht nichts und ich weiß aber nicht warum. auf dieser Seite http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/UMTS steht auch noch so ein Script wegen der SIM nur wo trage ich das ein und brauche ich das überhaubt ?

ich habe bei Windows die eingabe der SIM Nummer anbgeschalten daher denke ich das ich unter Linux auch keine angeben muss.


diese möglichkeit wurde mir auch noch vorgeschlagen:

Plug in your vodafone card and check in syslog whether the appropriate
(probably /dev/ttyUSB0 or /dev/noz0 when using newer vodafone cards) has
been created. If so run:

# gcom -d $DEVICE
# wvdial --config /etc/wvdial.conf.umts $PROFILE

Usage examples:
# gcom -d /dev/ttyUSB0
# wvdial --config /etc/wvdial.conf.umts a1usb

# gcom -d /dev/noz0
# wvdial --config /etc/wvdial.conf.umts tmnozomi

Notice: newer vodafone cards require the nozomi driver. Run 'modprobe nozomi' on
your grml system.

ueberpruef mal ob /dev/noz0 verfuegbar ist mit:

screen /dev/noz0

und gib dann z.b.

at

ein.

mit [strg]+[a] [k] kommt du wieder aus screen

also wie schon oben geschrieben gibt es im dev Ordner jetzt noz0, noz1, noz2 und noz3.


wenn ich das eingebe kommt nach at ein ok

weiß den keiner wie es weiter geht ? wo sind den die Linux kenner von denen es angeblich so viele geben soll ??

ich bekomme eine sehr gute verbindung damit ...

du musst nur die scripts von a1 auf tmobile umstellen

von wo weg genau soll ich das abtippen ?

/etc/chatscripts/wvdial.3G
/etc/ppp/peers/nozomi
/etc/ppp/options

der inhalt der dateien ist jeweis darunter (cat)
