ASv6 Revision Log

NOTE: Due to default option changes, please select “Set Defaults” button in the ASv6 options screen to use the latest recommended default options.

Service Update 4
ASv6 B499 – ASG B186

1. Fixed rare case of automatic FS9 minimization when auto-submit enabled. Solved by now automatically loading and hiding ASG in system tray immediately upon ASv6 load (instead of waiting until submit time to load ASG).
2. Fixed possible grid-pattern effect with stratus overcast layers 3. Added new throttle options: Disable Write Throttling and Disable Process Throttling. These new options allow removing the internal throttling mechanism during the write step (Write throttling) or all other steps (Process throttling). Some users report better overall performance with one or both of these throttles disabled, while most users should leave these throttles enabled (default/unchecked) to ensure the best balance between AS and FS performance. Note that when disabling throttles, a greater strain is placed on the system which could result in FS frame-rate/performance problems.
4. Added new extended throttling option (configurable via manual .INI edit only). Add the line: ExtendedThrottling = True to enable additional throttling (slowing) of certain processes. May be helpful on certain systems with slower CPUs (less than 700MHZ) to avoid performance hits. Most users should not need to utilize this option.
5. Fixed problem with looping and possible crashing/slowness in certain areas including PHNL when using secondary server.
6. Fixed problem where multiple instances of ASG might occur.
7. Fixed problem with ASG automatically shutting itself down when opened with its own icon.
8. Fixed problem where automatic vis reduction and fog layer generation would unexpectedly enable if temperature was negative and no dewpoint was specified in the METAR report. Now if there is a missing dewpoint, it is automatically set 5 degrees less than the temperature to avoid false 100% humidity detection.
9. Added handling of newer “Q1012.7”, “1012.7” or “1012” METAR pressure data formats.
10. Fixed problem with excessive wind depiction (900+ kts) if ///xxKT format was specified in METAR report.
11. Further throttling of the initial decryption/write to disk and subsequent data synthesis process to prevent occasional FS performance problems on a few systems (with default process throttling enabled).
12. Updated client and server databases with approximately 150 new reporting and usable stations, many station corrections, new ICAO->FS9 station translations, new corrected/added Airport ICAO codes, and a few obsolete station deletions. Magnitudes of thanks go out to ASv6 user Jan Tillung for his work in manually reviewing and updating ALL entries and providing it for all ASv6 users to benefit. Thanks Jan!!!
13. Updated documentation to reflect recent option additions.

Na, dies scheint ja auch so eine

trial & error

Software zu sein, wenn schon das
4. Update package nachgeschoben werden muss.

Hallo Henning !

Thx...aber Dein Link funzt nicht, da mußte noch den letzten Punkt rausnehmen ;)

Inzwischen nehmt diesen hier

@Ned
