Hallo!
Kann man mit einen Mail Client wie Thunderbird eigentlich via pop3 auf Gmail zugreifen. Im Gmail Interface finde ich dazu keine Informationen für Einstellugen. Man wird lediglich darauf hingewiesen, dass man den den Google Mail-Notifier herunterladen kann. Nicht ganz das, was ich will ...;)

Ja, kann man. Einstellungen wie folgt:
POP3: pop.gmail.com Port 995
SMTP: smtp.gmail.com Port 587
SSL verwenden
