Overvoltage protection FSBUS NG com board
 

Hallo

Bin dabei das fsbusNG com board zu löten.
Ich habe ein 1,5 KE 10 A overvoltage fuse

Es ist D1 in die Documentation. An einer Seite des Körpers ist eine grauwe linie (a grey line).

Macht es was aus wie Ich das herum montiere? Ich meine ist es wie ein Wiederstand oder wie eine Diode?

Hallo Norbert,
im Manual vom COM-Board Rev. 8.5.2005 auf Seite 11 von 13 steht genau beschrieben wie du die Power protection diode zu momtieren hast. Der weisse Ring muss zum Plus (+) Pole zeigen. Lies aber bitte im Manual selber nach, um Fehler auszuschließen.

Hi Norbert,

the overvoltage protector is a diode which will produce a shortage (0 ohms) as soon as the voltage exceeds 6,8V.

Therefor the diode has to be operated in reverse mode, meaning the cathode (grey ring)has to be connected to + V.

Hope this clarifies your question.

BTW that´s a well made investment to protect all circuitry from overvoltage and should be inserted in any supply line within the cockpit.
