habe eine digitale videokamera mit aktiviertem dv-in...
ein dv-band entspricht ca. 13GB videodaten.
meine frage ist, ob es irgendein tool gibt, mit dem ich das dv-band als backupsystem für meine hd's nutzen kann dh. files übertragen? oder is des a bledsinn?

Deine Frage wäre besser im Noise/Video Bereich untergebracht...


Ist an und für sich schon ne gute Idee,
nur würdest Du die Mechanik des Camcorder-Laufwerks durch die häufigen Backups unnötig belasten...

Außerdem:
*Es gibt keine Treiber für sowas..
*Du müsstest Deine Daten irgendwie ins AVI-Format
konvertieren...
*Du kannst Dir keine Dropped Frames leisten..


"I heard a rumour that the reason you can't use a DV cam for data backup is becaue the DV encoding/transfer process is not exactly 100% perfect. In video, the human eye never detects any problems as the DV system tries to correct any problems, but with data, you need it to be perfect all the way.

Only a rumour, and I can't remember who told me. But may explain why no-one is selling software for it. "
