FSBUS or IOCARD
 

Hi,

According to You which among the two systems of interface FSBUS and IOCARD it is the most valid?

Which are the differences and the technical potentialities of the two systems?

It's hard to say which of this two systems is "more valid"... you'll find people who like FSBUS, and others who prefer IOCARDS....

In general, you can say, that
--> if you really like electronical stuff and if you are able to produce PCBs by yourself, AND you don't want to pay that much... choose FSBUS

--> if you don't like (or if you are not able to) produce your own PCBs or if you've, like, 'never soldered before' or something, AND you have some money left... IOCARDS may be the right thing to you.


Of course, this is not really true at all: you can also buy already assembled FSBUS-components (e.g. http://www.cockpitsonic.de/) or you can make IOCARDS on your own.... :rolleyes:


So, it's your decision :)

I just have looked up the prices on FSBUS and I found that the are more expensive the IOCARDS from Opencockpits. That is why I choose IOCARDS rather than FSBUS.

Hi,
I use IOCards because:

- Price tag (compared to other products IOCards are significantly cheaper)

- Very professional design and manufacturing

- Flexible software (after understanding the documentation. The documentation is the weak point of the IOCard project)

- SIOC concept ist great and makes it easy to run tasks on different computers

If you have 2 to 3 days to understand the documentation and the software, choose IO Cards.

P.S: Very reliable delivery service. 4 day after ordering IOCards I had them on my table :-)
