hallo

wie lang dauerts eine 200 g platte zu formatieren ??? ext2

hab einen NSLU2 und die Festplatte kratzt seit einer stunde herum...
normal ??

nein.

wuerde sagen im einstelligen minutenbereich fuer die ganze platte.

ext2 wuerde ich wirklich nicht mehr verwenden, vor allem fuer so grosze formatierte Bereiche. Du koenntest ext3 mit Largefile-Optimierung versuchen, das formatiert innerhalb weniger Augenblicke.

DMA-Modus solltest du in jedem Fall aktivieren. ;)
