Encoder mit FSBUS / IOCARD
Hallo,
HI,
I have used the same ones and they directly connected to my FSkey and the value will go up and down when turning it, using it for instance for the QNH / FCU until i got the push/pull roteries... now i still use them for the radiopanel. But they work fine here with me without any I/O card or any other card.... gr. Frans www.airbus320.nl |
Hi Frans,
afaik the Alps rotaries are phaseshift enconders and running on FSBus only by accident. If I recal it correctly, Dirk was also quite surprised that those type of encoders are working well with FSBus. By some software change the function could well be gone. So it´s a bit risky to bet on those kind of rotaries. But in worst case one needs to simply put a REDEC in between Fskey and the Alps. BTW any (hopefully good )news from Enrico?? You met him, didn´t you?. Best rgds Peter |
Danke,
Ich will probieren direct mit FSBUS Beim IOCARD es funktioniert nicht direct ... Ich muss mit ReDec probieren BOB Thank's for reply, i''ll tried to use it directly with FSKEY, with IOCARD it seem not working correctly .. I'll with Redec ... I'll post the results Bye |
Hi,
I dont know those Alps worked fine maybe it is also the way how i did conected them to the fskey.. i dont know. I know that the ones i got in the past from Peter Cos also did do trick for me without the use of any other cart. I use them now for my QNH. I also did send Mathias from cockpitsonic some examples of the Alps so he could test them as well. Didnt hear the results yet... About Enrico.. yes i saw and spoke to him :) About your problem with the monitors i talked with him and he say that it would not be a problem as long as you send a offset it will have to notice it anywhere you would have that certain prog running and it doesnt have to be a active screen. I assum Widefs will deal with that. The only problem that could happen is that the OPENGL of the vga driver cant handle the request on the second monitor and that it only will do something when that program is active. (At least that is what i understood of the words of Enrico.) I will test it as well i only had no dual screens yet setup to test it here. gr. Frans M www.airbus320.nl |
Hi Frans,
thanks very much. Will have to try it out. Sofar was always believing that only active windows would listen and take commands. Only thing here is to have unique commands. Are you using PM systems yet? Does it really need a seperate PC for itself?? Have bought it just before price change, but haven´t asked for a license yet as no extra PC available. Best rgds Peter |
Yes i think i have all the software that is availble what have anything to do with FS... :P
I just have 2 new comps because i want to spread progs more and i also do have pmsystems.. My opinion is that if it is possible you can run all programs on a seperate comp it will be always the best... I also already did do some tests with PMsystems and i also got some buttons/switches to work with fsbus... gr. Frans M www.airbus320.nl |
