Simkits am FSBUS?
 

Hallo,

mir kam gerade die Idee, ob es möglich ist, die Simkits Instrumente am FSBUS zu betreiben. Die 220 Euro (oder so ähnlich) für die Controllerkarte kommen mir ziemlich viel vor...?

Eine andere Sache: die Stellrädchen an den Simkits Instrumenten kommen mir "ziemlich" lang vor. Wenn ich sie mir in der Flight1 Piper Archer oder der Cessna Cardinal o.ä anschaue, dann scheinen sie nur wenig über das Instrumentenbrett hervorzuschauen, zumindest weniger als bei den Simkits Instrumenten.

It would be possible I guess, except for those servos that rotate continuously (altimeter and gyro and adf at least)

But does it make sense? With FSBUS you need a servo card for every 8 servos, it has one PIC, lots of soldering - you'll need at least a few of those.

Technically probably possible, but for the eur 200 you get a working solution with a good calibration program etc.

It might save you some money if you do it yourself, but using the simkits card probably will save a lot of time.

What FSBUS and Simkits are good at together is making extra gauges - like we did a flap position indicator to our C172 sim at the aviation club (www.mik.fi/simulaattori) - the flap indicator uses simkits parts, but it is controlled by FSBUS.

So I would recommend the simkits controller, it is a lot easier and thus lets you spend time on the other stuff.

They look pretty real. The new skyhawks look very "simu-like" because one has seen the FS2004 panel so much ;-]

not that I intended to build a cockpit (it is too expensive currently), but I was just thinking about what is possible and what not.

Mir kam nur der Gedanke, dass es wohl die gleiche Technik sein wird und dass somit eine prinzipielle Austauschbarkeit oder Erweiterbarkeit da sein müßte.

Ob ich mir mal ein paar Schalter für Licht, Zündung o.ä. mit FSBUS bastele, weil sie im VC der Flight1 Cardinal oder der Archer nur schlecht erreichbar sind, oder ob ich mir ein ADF bastele, weil es bei der Cessna so extrem weit rechts angebracht ist oder ob ich mir mal ein paar Geräte aus dem NAV-Stack baue, weil das Einstellen der Frequenzen mit der Maus nicht sehr schön ist, das ist alles unklar.

Der FSBUS bietet scheinbar viele und preisgünstige Möglichkeiten, die Simkits haben die perfekte Optik und Funktion. Aber nur um ein oder zwei oder auch drei Instrumente zu bauen, gleich noch 200 Euro für eine Controllerkarte?

Ich überlege nur manchmal, dass es ganz nett wäre, wenn ...

BTW.: In the last weeks, I flew through Suomi all the time: nice scenery especially with snow now...

Make sure you get the excellent freeware scenery from http://fisd.fsnordic.net if you fly in Finnland :) - especially FinnClass and FinnTerrain - those make the whole scenery completely different in FS, plus there are some real gems of airport sceneries those guys have done.. Try Ranua for example - excellent stuff for the Archer (lovely fs plane btw)

Yes, I installed the landclass and the terrain and some airports already, but after installing Tampere city and EFTP Airport and Finnmasts, I got some crashes or hang ups of the FS that I never had before. And it does not happen always, but it happened sometimes, but not the last times after I changed the amount of swap space. So I'm still a little unclear about it.

But yes: it's really a great scenery.

Ich habe Simkits CCU und FSBUS für kontrollieren meine eigene Instrumente gemacht mit Simkits Teilen.

Ich habe ein G-Meter, ein Flaps Indicator (bei Tuomas kopiert)
Cabin pressure Indicator ...

Ich wollte eine Magnetkompass zu machen der von Simkits ist viel zu teuer ... aber kontrolieren rotative Instrumente mit FSBUS is problematisch ... when jemand eine idee hast

Try removing some of the effects files and see if that helps? Finnmast has had the smoke fx thing that some people reported does cause crashes.

Oh, yes I can try it. But I did not have a crash in the last days, so it is a little difficult to say anything about it as long as I do not have another crash. Maybe fixing the swap space to a size of 2GB was a good idea, but on the other hand I cannot really understand why it should have been.

@Robert: Ich habe nichts anderes als das, was hier auf der Liste steht. Der Link, den Tuomas angegeben hat enthält eine Abbildung dieses Flap Indicators.
