WCM Forum - SanDisk Cruzer Mini Problem mit Win98 SE

Hallo

Ich habe mir von der SanDisk.com seite den Windows98 SE Treiber fuer den Cruzer Mini 1GB (USB Flash Drive) runtergeladen und installiert.

Wenn ich den Cruzer Mini dann in den USB Slot stecke leuchtet das Licht hinten kurz auf und erlischt dann wieder.

Unter WinXP funktioniert alles tadellos.

Das einzige was ich bisher gefunden habe ist das ...

Universal Serial Bus (USB) devices that are plugged in to a computer running Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition may not work if the following hardware components are installed on the computer:

- An AMD processor (running at 350 MHz or faster)
- A VIA Technologies USB controller

This behavior occurs because there is a timing-specific problem in the Universal Host Controller driver (Uhcd.sys), which may prevent USB devices from enumerating under specific timing conditions.

Solution:

To resolve this issue, download and run the appropriate file for your language version of Windows.

NOTE: This update only applies to Windows 98 Second Edition.

Der PC wo das ganze laeuft ist ein alter Dell OptiPlex GX1 (Intel P2 400MHz). Also ist es mal kein AMD Prozessor. Und ein "VIA USB Controller" wirds auch nicht sein, oder?

hat irgendwer vorschlaege?
