DIY molded knobs.
 

Hi there,

Is there somebody who can tell me how to make my own molded knobs, for my Boeing 737NG.
I'm thinking about to use polyester resin and a hardener, so that I can mold my own knobs. I have one original knob that I'll use as example and make a print in clay or some thing similair.

Any ideas?

hello,

self made knobs are very easy to make. Please send me an e-mail, then I´ll give you the adress of a german supplier of the right components.

Please calculate for 1 kg of silicon plastic for the moulding tools 33 Euro and for the PU plastic 1kg round about 15 Euro.

The material spec (in german):

1. Silikonkautschuk Abformmasse (2k, kondensationsvernetzend, pastös) 1kg mit Härter ca. 33€

3. Abgußwerkstoff: PU Gießharz 2k for big volumes und thick walls 1kg ca. 15€.
