HELP with FSDISP and 7digs.....
Hello,
I am looking for someone that is building a A320 cockpit and use the panels of Peter cos (FDS) in this case the FCU part where the 7 digs led need to be in. I have here already the fsdisp board and from the site of fsbus you can find the print to make for the pcb. I got from mathias (cockpit sonic) the number of conrad to order the correct 7 digs that need to be used... I made the pcb ( i made many) but it doesnt work at all!! So anyone that have already his FCU working with the pcb print of the fsbus site in combination with the fsdisp board plz contact me or mention something here on this forum. ( i already got from cockpitsoninc) a set but this leds are to small and second of all the connector doesnt fit in the panel ... SO i really need a working version like the one that is showed on the FSBUS site! Thanks already... gr. BWR www.planesonline.nl |

Dear BWR ??
The LED parts that you have from CPS are for the FDS Panels. The Display PCB Board from FSBUS are to big and alone for bigger LED Parts...not for the small Window at FDS/AGT Panel. CPS has built a lot of special PCB Display Boards for the FDS Panels and AGT Panels.;) Ask Mathias please, for the right one of LED Display PCB Boards.:) Regards ULI |
Hello ULI,
(bwr = frans) Let me try to explain it again... on the fsbus site and i am sure you know the links you can find the pcb layout for the 7 digs ( the 3 and 5 version) I made those pcb's i got from mathias the correct 7 digs i needed to buy by conrad ( 15 inch i believe) and solder them on the 3 version pcb ... grab the cable that is conected to the fsdisp board and conected the pcb i made as mention to do on the FSbus site to that conector... and as i already had somany times before... the leds didnt show the result or at least some parts of the leds light up or the point light up at least nothing in the way it should be. And just for your information the pcb's on the FSbus site ARE the CORRECT size for the FDS panels of the FCU. Mathias made me a set ( not even close looking to the FSbus version) and those leds are much to small.... SO i have now the correct size leds with pins on top and bottom of the led and now i am really hoping that someone will give me the correct PCB layout to make the correct pbc to get mine 7 digs i have laying here and that i needed to buy comform mathias to work with the fsdisp i have here... meening plug and play... so no figure out if the pins are correct just like i got them before from mathias but now for the led size i have here! And i just will be happy if i can get a set of 3 working .... I assum i am not the first one that is going to do this so any help in this would be appricate... gr. Frans BWR014 www.planesonline.nl |
Dear Frans,
what you mean with this ? ( i already got from cockpitsoninc) a set but this leds are to small and second of all the connector doesnt fit in the panel ... Is this now the correct LED or not ?? Example....we make many MCP Display Boards with 8mm LED, and not with the bigger LED Parts. Anyway....take what you like, it passed in your Panels... Have you at FSBUS Flashprogramm set the correct LED ? Exampel : CC for Cathode and CA for Anode ! Next, at 3C Controller layout are a mistake to "F" and "g" LED-Light. Has you this seen, and corrected ? With this mistake the LED result is incorrect. you are Netherlands?...can you a little bit write in German ?? But i inform Mathias with your Problem..Her Englisch is mutch better. Regards Uli |
I will put some pictures here tonight maybe it makes it a bit more clear...
sorry, i can read a bit german but write would even make everyone more lost :) i also have contact with mathias but maybe someone already figured it out so help will always be greatfull Frans |
Url,
I did make some progress and i got 3 leds to burn ok only BIG problem i have now is that it does start to count like this 001 (showed on screen 100) or 010 ( showed on screen 1000) so it looks like it goes backwards example: number 1342 will be showed as 013 the 42 will not be seen on the display what can that be? gr Frans |
Uli,

Hi there.
That is a Problem with numbered for the LED from K1 to K5. He beginns with "K1" from right ... goes to left side at "K5". You have the numbered at the PCB Circuit correctly ?? At the moment i mean that you have forget the number "k1" .... You have numbered from left.... You must numbered from the right side....see please the FSBUS circuit Layout for the LED Digits. I make at your first Photo the right layout way ....wait a moment please ! regards uli |
Ok Uli,
All i did was put the layout on the print and connected the leds on it so K1... K5? no idea i assum that layout is ok unless i did something wrong but than the layout on the site wouldnt be right... but i wait for your response ... thanks already so far :) Frans |
