Hi!
Ich habe einen RedHat 9 Server und verwende ihn (auch) als SMTP-Server (sendmail version 8.12.8). Meine Pop3-Postfächer (liegen beim Provider) werden mittels fetchmail und procmail ins Maildir-Format abgelegt, damit mein Courier IMAP iese servicieren kann (Das funktioniert auch!). Da ich keinen qualifizierten Hostname habe, kann ich aber leider keine Mail senden, da ich immer die Fehlermeldung

bekomme. Was soll ich denn als qulifizierten Hostname wo eintragen?

Danke für die Info. Ist es dabei vollkommen egal welches der vier ich verwende?

localhost würde ich nicht verwenden. ;)

Naja, ich habe jetzt einmal den SMTP meines Providers als "MASCARADE_AS" eingetragen. Funktioniert gut.
