SATA HDD icht erkannt
 

hi!
hab für einen bekanten einen PC zuammengetellt & irrtümlich eine sata gekauft - jetzt kann ich nicht aufsetzen weil bios die platten nicht erkennt..
kann man eine sata festplatte nicht ohne eine andre betreiben oder brauch ich nur treiber??
bitte schnell um antwort :)

Du benötigst hierfür keinen eigenen Treiber. Wo hast Du die HD angesteckt - auf einem RAID-Controller oder nicht?

Welches Board? Welche HD (ist diese etwa größer als 120 GB?, bei 160GB HD´s benötigst Du evtl. ein BIOS-Updates des Boards)

die platte hat 80GB und ich hab sie am raid controller angesteckt

ich hab das ASUS A7V600

der dvd-brenner wird erkannt...floppy auch

Die meisten HD Hersteller bieten Formatierungs/Partitionierungs tools zum kostenlosen Download an.

Ich hatte vorige Woche mit einem A7V600 zu tun. Der Raidcontroller ließ sich gar nicht deaktivieren im 1006er BIOS. Weiß nicht, wie daß beim 1005er und darunter ist. Solltest das 1006er haben, muß also das Raidbios aktiv sein.
Jedenfalls wirst die Raidtreiber installieren müssen, damit die Platte erkannt wird.
Schau mal genau beim booten zu, ob sich das Raidbios auch meldet!

Yes, you can install Windows XP with one SATA HDD on A7V600.
Please first copy the driver from A7V600 support CD \Drivers\VIARAID\DriverDisk\SATA\*.* into root directory of floppy disk.
(i.e. root directory of floppy disk should contain \pide and \sata folders, txtsetup.oem and vt6420 files.)
Then, boot system by Windows XP installation CD, when the below message show up, press "F6".
"Press F6 if you need to install a third party SCSI or RAID driver"
Then, press "S" to specify additional device when next screen show up. Put the driver floppy disk you made and press enter to continue.
(If the floppy disk is made successfully, the installation program will ask for selecting driver. Please then select "VIA Serial ATA RAID Controller(Windows XP)".)
After SATA driver loaded and Windows XP can recognize SATA HDD, you can continue to install Windows XP as usual.
(If the driver is selected successfully, but the installation program cannot find your hard drive. Please check whether the hard drive is connected correctly both SATA cable and power cable.)

Ich hab heut selbst auch einen PC mit S-ATA Platte konfiguriert! :rolleyes:
Anfangs vom BIOS ned erkannt, daher von der Diskette bootbare diskwizard von Seagate genommen, dann patitioniert und formatiert.
Daraufhin wurde sie auch vom BIOS erkannt!

das ist _krank_!

hab bisher nur mit einer sata platte (seagate 7200.7 120gb) zu tun, da meine einzige (derzeit noch). angesteckt an einem sil3001 basierten controller billigster klasse verrichtet das teil wunderbare dienste ;). (onboard)ideraidcontroller haben sich leider dadurch hervorgetan, einfach platten teilweise nicht zu erkennen :(
