Kein Start aber ne doofe Fehlermeldung

Hi

Wollte heute Suse 8.1 auf meinen Pezi installieren, leider ohne Erfolg.
Mein System:
AMD XP 2400
512MB RAM
IDE Raid Kontroller Promise TX2
2 Seagate 40GB Platten
Ansonsten alles Standard

Ich vermute es liegt am Raid System.
Da ich mich mit Linux aber nicht gut auskenne weiß ich nicht weiter.

Nach der anscheinend erfolgreichen Installation (sonst kein OS) startet Linux gewohnt neu und nach der üblichen BIOS Anzeige des Motherboards und des Raid-Controllers erscheint dann folgendes.

L 01 01 01 01 01 01 01
01 01 01 01 01 01 01 usw.

Hat das was mit dem Lilo zu tun ?
Bzw. kann mir jemand aus der Patsche helfen ?

Eine Moeglichkeit waere natuerlich auch der Online-Support von SuSE, aber das ist natuerlich schon "weit" hergeholt. :ms:

Die Frage hätte ich mir anscheinend wirklich sparen können.
Zu meiner Verteidigung kann ich nur sagen das ich zuvor zwar auf der SUSE Homepage war dort aber leider bzgl. dieser Fehlermeldung nur etwas über laptops und STR gefunden habe.

Leider muß ich euch nochmal am A... gehen. *gg*
Jetzt habe ich zwar einen netten passenden Treiber aber als Linux Gott (blutiger Anfänger) habe ich keine Ahnung wann oder wo ich diesen installieren kann.

Beim XP drücke ich gleich zu Beginn des Installationsprozesses F6 und alles is OK aber bei Linux ????

:o tja manchmal bin ich wirklich ein Elch.
Hoffentlich lauf ich in nächster Zeit keiner A-Klasse übern Weg.

Trotz meiner unendlichen Dummheit habe ich es jetzt doch geschafft.
Linux Suse 8.1 läuft auf meinem Raid-System.
