root passwort bei knoppix
 

hi
ich bin ja bis jetz ein realtiv zufriedener windwos user gewesen :D
nun hab ich mir mal Knoppix angeschaut und bin positiv überrascht.
ich hab zwar keine ahnung davon versuche aber mir selbst was beizubringen (bin aber viel zu sehr auf windows fixiert)
so, der lange rede kurzer sinn. wie melde ich mich ebi knoppix als admin/root an bzw wie is das defaultpaswort?

Q: What is the root password?


A: There is none; all passwords are locked by default. You can set it by going Knoppix Menu->Root Shell and typing "passwd", then enterting a root password, also there are several sections you can read dealing with this subject in KNOPPIX/README_Security.txt. You can also type "sudo su" or "sudo -s" in any console window, or use <ctr>-<alt>-F2 to get at the text console with already opened root shell.


Apparently, however, in some versions of Knoppix, if you type 'sudo -s', it will ask for a password. If you simply press return without entering anything, it will tell you 'Authentication Failed."

irgendwie verwirrt mich das.
einmal heißt es es gibt keins aber andererseits wenn man keines eingibt is ne fehlemeldung. was denn nun? :confused:

wenn du eine shell mit root rechten willst klick auf "start" => knoppix => root shell

Ich habe heute das erste mal Knoppix auf meinen PC "installiert".
Für das Problem mit dem Paswort musst du
links unten auf das große K klicken dann KNOPPIX und root shell starten.
dannach "passwd" eingeben und ein Passwort festlegen.

bleibt das passwort gespichert und wenn ja, wo?

Wenn du nicht neu startest wird das Passwort und sonstige Einstellungen im Arbeitsspeicher gespeichert.
Beim Neustart ist alles weg.
Aber man kann die momentanen Einstellungen auch auf Diskette speichern.
Einfach aufs K klicken unter KNOPPIX / Konfigration gibts eine Programm "KNOPPIX Einstellungen Speichern". Mit diesem Prog. kann man die Einstellungen auf Dikette speichern.
Die Floppy muss aber im Dos formatiert werden. (nur eine Vermutung)Denn eine im W2k Floppy funkionierte nicht.

gut ich will da pw eh nicht speichern........sonst muss ich mir noch eines merken.......:hehe:

Einer der Gründe, warum ich Knoppix auf einer HD nicht mag. :(
