Fsbus and FMC

Hi bussers,

I was wondering if it's posible to make a "real" B737 NG FMC, with knobs, like the one who you can buy at Flightdeck solution for example?

Regards Jan.

Hi Jan,

sure it is possible with the appropriate tools and machinery - but honestly, i do believe that FDS offers great value for the money that the FMC costs...
The electronic part can easily be solved with the FSKEY - i do not see any problem there.

cheers

Mathias

Hi Mathias,

That was what i mean, buy the hardware (FMC) and use fsbus for the electronics.
Do you have experience with it?

Regards Jan.

Hi Jan,

yes, that is what i have done - the FDS hardware, FSBUS electronics and Projectmagenta FMC software - i am still looking for a suitable TFT - but the results are very awesome.
The trouble is that the FMC is so damned small - and there are so many switches and cables - i think its nearly impossible to think about doing that on your own ...

cheers

Mathias
