WLAN Probs (RH9 und Cisco350)

Hallo Leute,

überall im Netz steht, dass es mit Redhat und Cisco WLAN Karten am einfachsten geht...

Nur bei mir nicht... :(

Laptop mit RH9 (2.4.20-18.9)
Cisco 350 WLAN PCMCIA Karte

Treiber (Cisco/pcmcia-cs) installiert.

Beim einstecken der Karte in den unteren Slot kommt ein hoher Peep, dann:

airo: Max tries exceeded waiting for command
airo: MAC could not be enabled
airo_cs: RequestConfiguration: Operation succeeded

und dann ein tiefer Peep und die LEDs auf der KArte geh'n aus...

Im zweiten Slot tut sich gar nüschts...

"MAC could not be enabled"

Mhhh, habe weder RH noch Funklan aber vielleicht hilft Dir eine Konfiguration der Karte mit "iwconfig" weiter?

Um sie mit iwconfig konfigurieren zu können muss sie schon mal erkannt werden...

wenn die Karte nicht erkannt wird woher kommt dann diese Meldung:

"socket 0: 350 Series Wireless LAN Adapter" :confused:

Wenn Du "dmesg" eingibst wird die Karte nicht erkannt?

Hab jetzt die Treiber mit einem anderen Script installiert, welches in der README nicht erwähnt wird.

Jetzt existiert zumindest ein eth1, welches aber immer noch nicht ansprechbar ist...

Hm... mach grad ein Kernelupdate... mal schauen...
