Im Zweifelsfall xemacs... ;) Befinde mich allerdings noch in der Einlernphase (hört die jemals auf? :D )

Darf ich vielleicht die Aufmerksam der geschäftzen emacs-Gurus bzw. -Freaks auf diesen Thread lenken?

Und noch eine Frage: Wie kann ich dem xemacs (möglichst einfach) näherbringen, daß es auch Mäuse mit Rädern die zum Textscrollen geeignet sind, gibt?

Andererseits hat vi aber ja auch wirklich viele Vorteile gegenüber anderen Editoren!
1. er ist auf jedem System vorhanden

Allerdings verwend ich auch nano sehr gerne, je nach Lust und Laune...

Emacs war doch dieses Betriebssystem innerhalb des Betriebssystems oder?

vorsicht: weil es mal hieß, emacs könne alles, nur nicht kaffeekochen, setzte sich jemand hin und baute eine bestimmte schnittstelle in emacs ein (details weiß ich aber nicht)

irgendwann macht sich also jemand die mühe und präsentiert das erste EmacsOS ;) - default editor ist aus performance gründen dann natürlich vi :D

Ich halte nichts von WYSIWYG Zeugs, ich will einen richtigen Editor, einen DHSGDHD (Du hast es so gewollt da hast du's) Editor.

btw: Wie kann ich eigentlich den vi gscheit im terminal-fenster von win laufen lassen? Mit der Eingabeaufforderung und telnet bricht der Look ja extrem ein.

(Schließlich will ich ja den Screen und das Keyboard vom Server abbauen....)
