Zum Abrunden der Photoserie ein Photo von meiner aktuellen Baustelle
im Cockpit: mein sekundaer getaktetes Netzteil, 120 Watt. Irgendwie
muss das Ganze ja auch mit Power versorgt werden...

Was deine Elektronik betrifft müsste es nach den ein
riesen Bomber werden.:)

Hi Horst!

Naja, ein Riesenbomber wird´s nicht grade. Die Cockpit-Elektronik
ist auf geringen Stromverbrauch ausgelegt, bloss die gedimmten
Halos im Overhead und fuer die Map-Beleuchtung fressen halt viel Strom.
Vielleicht ersetze ich die noch durch weisse LEDs, mal sehen.
Wegen den Halos ist halt auch das Netzteil etwas heftig dimensioniert.
Wird uebrigens eine Eigenkreation, basierend auf Airbus, mit etwas
mehr Schnickschnack im Bereich der Funk-und Navi-Bedienung.

Dein Autopilot (FCU) ist ja stark!
Was haste denn zum steuern verwendet (FSBus) o.ä.?

Verwende keinen FS-Bus - finde ich uebrigens aber super!
Verwende ein Unikat. Heisst "HolgisBus". Ist wesentlich
komplexer. Kein "Fernflashen" moeglich. Ist sowas wie eine
Kreuzung aus SPI und I2C, bloss noch wesentlich aufgebohrter.
Mit variabler interner Baudrate und Handshake-Signalen.
Nix fuer'n do-it-youself, wenn da mal ein Loetfehler drin ist, braucht man komplexe Messgeraete zur "Eiersuche".
Allein in dem abgebildeten FCU sind drei Microcontroller verbaut.

oki ist ja echt nett!
Vielleicht kannste mir aber trotzdem helfen!
Versuche in ein P.Cos Panel die 7-seg. LED einzubauen die bei FSBus dabei sind, geht auch gut von der Höhe nur in der Breite ist es ein Problem! Da das ganze auf einzelnen Platinen ist klappt das nicht!
Jetzt such ich ne Möglichkeit das ganze auf einer Platine aufzubauen nur:
1. Keine Ahnung vom herstellen einer Platine ;)
2. Wie gestallte ich die Anschlüße auf der Anzeigen? Ist bei FSBus ja nach vorn? Vielleicht haste ja ne Idee?

Although I am spending my whole holiday in my garden in the sun,
sometimes I am looking into the Internet to see what´s happening.

Okay, here is a short discription of the FCU board:

Three MCUs on the board (MCU=Microcontroller Unit:
MCU1 multiplexes the 7-seg-Displays and the pushbuttons
MCU2 is the Bus-Interface
MCU3 scans the ALPS-Incremental switches and debounces the
switches.
Q: Why three MCUs?
A: Speed, reliability, no display flickering during data transfer.
The whole thing is powered with 12 Volt like the whole cockpit
There is a switchmode powersupply on the FCU board which makes
the +5 Volts out of the 12 Volts with low power dissipation/low heat.

Well, that´s it.

Now I go back into my garden to enjoy the sun.

maybe the next question concerning the MCU-board will be:
"Which controller do you use??"

Well, I am using the Microchip PIC-family and the
Texas Instruments MSP430-family in the whole cockpit
electronics. Du to lower power requirements, I am considering to
change the system to the MSP430-controllers, which have an internal
16-bit RISC achitecture, are very easy to program and you get a
very cheap emulation/debug unit for $99 which makes it very easy
to program and emulate the devices in the target hardware.
