Keine Ahnung was ADAT ist, es gibt nichts anderes als S/PDIF, egal ob Toslink oder Koaxial.

ADAT ist zu universell um bei optischen Schnittstellen darauf zu verzichten.



Kann mir nicht vorstellen das ein THX Verstärker mit S/PDIF funktioniert. Digital-Eingänge optisch werden aber bei Sony, Denon, Pioneer nicht näher beschrieben. :confused:

Wäre auch schön einmal zu erfahren, was TOS heißt, beziehungsweise Toslink. Ich habe zwar gesucht, aber nichts gefunden. Wahrscheinlich habe ich nicht richtig gesucht. Trotzdem, ich war ganz schön hartnäckig, vielleicht weiß es jemand aus dem Forum.

Mir ist nicht ganz klar was S/PDIF genau tut, ein simpler Pfostenstecker auf einer Platine ist S/PDIF jedenfalls nicht.

Wenn man ein Signal in einen Sony TA 1000 ESD Vorverstärker digital schickt so wird das ganze nach der Norm S/PDIF abgehandelt.

DTS (Digital Theater Systems) and Dolby Digital were originally developed by two different companies for the movies “Jurassic Park” and “Batman Returns”, respectively. These are two different implementations of digitally encoded soundtracks that, when played through compatible decoding equipment, re-create “audio surround scenery” consistent with how the creators of the movie/music intended it to be heard. “5.1” refers to the different channels (speakers) the system supports. “5” for the speakers, front left, center, front right, rear left and rear right. “1” stands for the LFE (Low Frequency Effects) channel, normally a channel where a subwoofer, a speaker where the bass sound is produced, attaches to. Currently, Dolby Digital has been adopted as a standard feature for Digital TV and HDTV broadcasts and numerous DVD movies. DTS on the other hand is not as widely used but it is featured in blockbuster movies such as “Gladiator”, “The Mummy Returns”, “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider”, etc.
What is S/PDIF port?
S/PDIF stands for Sony and Philips Digital Interconnect Format. In the Excelente 515, it is a digital output jack where a digital receiver is connected to, using a digital coaxial cable.
