It's indeed a bird that was not covered alot yet in MSFS and X-Plane. So after all the wiring etc, I fear that I will have to look into tweaking those models in the sim software or build one from scratch.

with "richtiger sim" you mean Level-D sim ? and with 30 mille you mean 30 millions i guess.

a real level d sim is so expensive because the software is custom made. not only the glass cockpit and the system logics but also the flight model and the visuals. A level D does NOT use PM and FS9 ;-)

The glass cockpit software of a level d is the real software interfaced to a virtual world. All parts in a level D sim are REAL parts. Just a few examples:
the lcd as used for the pfd, nd, eicas costs 150.000 US$ each
start switch: over 2000 $
real APU switch 350 $
Gen switches 180 $ each
CDU 150.000 $ (and thats only the cdu...so the control unit...and not the actual fmc (computer)
etc
etc
All parts are real....all parts are MILL spec.

I have a radio here out of a level D 747-300 sim. Its exactly the same Gables control head like in the real aircraft.

All parts are FAA approoved...even the tiniest screw....
1000's of hours of coding for the software....etc

THAT makes the real sims so expensive. ;-)

Thanks....i just got hold of a real rear bulk head out of a real 737/200. I have just placed it on the platform. Will post some pictures here soon.
I still have a long way to go...

but hey..its just a 737.....your project is really original. We have a german builder here in holland...some of you must know him...he writes here too (daniel F) he is building a WWII bomber....great original project too.

would be great to see those pics! Bit by bit the puzzle gets more complete...

And as for my Canberra: this uniqueness will also leave me with the difficulty to find a well done model to use in the sim or to bild one myself, what I don't really fancy! ;)

Das erste mal hat es nicht funktioniert. Aber für 1000 Euro ist es immer noch ein guter Preis. Habe es nie verstanden warum er es nicht selbst behält, den er hat es auch über Ebay gekauft vor ein paar Monaten.

Verkauf Homecockpit
 

Hallo zusammen,

mit Entsetzen musste ich feststellen, wie wenig Gebote für das Cockpit abgegeben wurden. Ich glaube Ebay ist nicht die richtige Plattform für so etwas, oder man macht daraus ein Top Angebot, so dass es auch auf der Ebay Startseite eingeblendet wird. Wer sucht schon gezielt bei Ebay nach einem Homecockpit.

Zu den PM "Profi" Preisen. Bis Februar 2007 kostet die Glascockpit Software bei PM 5600€. Das beeinhaltet GC 1st and Cpt., FCU, MCDU und RCDU.

PMSystems und PMInstructor nochmal ca 3000€. Aber für Februar sind Preisänderungen in Höhe von etwa 30% angekündigt. Also sollte man sich beeilen, wenn man den Kauf in Betracht zieht.
