Hallo,

bin heute einen Schritt weiter in Richtung "Low-Cost" Hardware :

die angehängte Schaltung ermögicht die Nutzung einer Standard-Tastatur mit richtigen Schaltern (Umschalter).
Das ist auch recht einfach zu löten.
Wer auf den Euro schaut, und nur Taster und Schalter braucht, und Ausgaben evtl über FS-Relais , sowie Radios über Monitor, der kann doch Geld sparen.

last night I read about Reality xp and it looks great and seams to
be cheap compared to PM.
But there are two questions I have : does it work with FS2002 as well and would it work with my GoFlight AP ?

If you - or anybody else could answer these two questions with "yes"
I'd go for Reality XP as well

Hi Joachim,
Yes it works with FS2002 but there will be NO updates to this version.
New features and updates only on FS2004 version from now on.
What do you require to work with Goflight module?
I think that the JL4 uses the FS autopilot, so if GoFlight issues comends to the FS autopilot I think it should work.
I saw your post over at Reality XP Forum, maybe it's a good idea to start a thread there containing your question.

Hi to all!
Here's my overhead panels completed :)))))
Only missing some buttons.
The external lights are allready connected over FSBUS and... IT WORKS GREAT!!!!!
It's a feeling that you've seen to believe, the fact that you flip a swith in real and the simulator responds :))) .

Hi Pedro,

your overhead looks great!!!!

How did you do the backlighting of the panels?
I'm working hard, tried some ideas of other guys,
but havn't found the right way to build.
Here is my story : 3mm plexiglass, sanded to be translucent,
a printed piece of film in black like a negative and a printed piece
of paper in dark gray with white words.
A second 3mm crystal clear plexiglass as a shield on top.
It looks great, but....
My last try was do do the backlighting with LEDs placed around
the switches on a PCB that contains the buttons.But the lights of the LEDs appeared like spotlights and not as a complete backlight.
And because of the use of PCBs its not possible to use bigger bulbs
from behind because of the shadows of the PCB.

I hope my words will be understandable ( because of my poor English)

It would be nice to read about your solution.

Hallo,

Ich habe wieder neue Bilder auf meine HP gelegt.

Ich weiss ja das ich mit dem A320 Panel ein bischen fremd gehe, aber die Software die ich dafür habe ist ja so schön!!!

Jedoch ist der AP für die CRJ und er wirkt!

Angelehnt und Basis ist der CRJ, aber ein bißchen abgeändert.

Sorry I missed your post about the lights.
I use regural christmast lights, I'll attach them to a potenciometer to dim the lights. There's not too much eat coming from those lights, several people have complained that the lights generate too much heat but in my case it doesn't happen :) .
I'll post some pics on how I do my panels.

nice to hear from you !

Yes, I made a big step forward, and in the meantime I spend
my time building the panels.
After I tried it to make a double layer of plexi I got in trouble
to syncronize the breakaways of both layers.
So I tried and decided to use only one layer of plexi with two smaller parts at the edges to keep the scews.
I will use the left switch for AC power of the whole system, so its
a little bit different to the original panel.
The front layout is printed on a self gluing sticker paper, and that is enough.
I will follow your idea with the christmas lights as soon as I built
more panels.The following panels will be "External Lights","Ignition",Misc Lights" and Landing Lights" and I'm looking foreward to finish them this weekend.

Hi Joachim, nice panels you have there!!
I've made some progress in my cockpit , I'll try to take some pics this weekend.
Here's how I do my panels:
2 pexiglass of 3 mm each, one for the front and one smaller to hold the switches.
One piece of self adhesive transparency printed in black and one self adhesive paper for the front lettering printed in grey. I glue the transparency to the paper to block the light.

Pedro,

that looks great.What you did to mount the switches I do with the swrews.
In this moment I'm building panels downstairs and sometimes its not easy with the plexi especially if you drill holes near to the edges !
So I had some scrap, but I can use this material for smaller parts.
The best tools I use are my Dremel and the hot melt !
I use 8mm plexi distand holder for the PCBs on with I mount my DIGI switches.

Joachim,die Teile sehen Top aus.Ich habe mich auch entschlossen ein Cokpit zu bauen.Als basis soll das ERJ 145 von Bill Grabowski dienen.
ND,PFD usw. soll PM neues Regional Jet ubernehmen.Hardware mässig die Itra teile TCP-USB usw.
Da ich aber totaller Anfänger bin brauche ich eure hilfe beim den ersten schritten.
Ich möchte auch mit Overhead Panel anfangen und hier schon meine erste Frage:
Wie kann ich herausfinden mit welchen Keystorkes er die sachen im OH programiert hat?
Wäre blöd wenn ich es dann einen schalter nicht zuweisen könnte.

Hallo Thomas,

wilkommen im Club !

Das mit der Zuordnung kannst du auf zwei Arten machen :
(aus meiner Erfahrung - kann aber noch mehr geben )

1. schaue dir die Funktionen des Overhead an, und drucke die dann die FS2002( oderFS2004 ) Control Codes aus ( gibts da, wo es auch FSUIPC gibt)
Dann kannst du sehen, ob diese Funktionen verwendet werden.ZB Master Battery, die Lights usw. findest du alle wieder.
Dann probiere es mit der Tastatur : den jeweiligen zu testenden Code auf eine Taste legen ( mit FSUIPC) und sehen, ob sich nach Tastendruck auch die Anzeige oder der Schalter im Overhead auf dem Bildschirm so ändert.

2.wenn du eine Funktion garnicht findest, kannst du auch mit KeyTo Mouse arbeiten, dann legst du auch eine Taste auf der Tastatur fest ( jetzt mit KeyToMouse), die Position auf dem Bildschirm, abspeichern und probieren.
So kannst du an die Dinger rankommen.

Möchtest du aber später mal keinen Monitor für das Overhead spendieren, weil Hardware geworden, dann kannst du mit einem Paneldesignprogramm ( ich verwende FS Panel Studio) das Overhead laden, dir die jeweiligen, nicht von FSUIPC unterstützten Schalter auf eine Stelle eines anderen Panels ( zb EICAM Monitor ) ziehen, und dieses dann evtl mit dem Main Panel verdecken. Und auf diese Dinger wendest du dann eben KeyToMouse an.

Ich hoffe, ich konnte dir erstmal ein Stück weiterhelfen.

nochmal @ Thomas,

warte mit dem Kauf der Elöektronik, besonders wenn du vorhast, für die realen Schalter die ITRA 8fach Interfaces zu kaufen.
Ich habe auch den ITRA USB Controller - ist top, aber vielleicht kann ich dir bald ein einfaches und güstigeres Interface zeigen, um Umschalter als Schalter in der ITRA Matrix zu realisieren.

Hallo Joachim!!
Ich habe mir die liste mit den ganzen Keystorkes von der Downson Seite gezoggen.
Dann habe ich mir die sachen angeschaut und versucht mit FSUIPC unter Keys die zu zuordnen.Mit manchen klappt es mit manchen nicht obwohl die in der Liste stehen.
Hmmm.Vieleicht mache ich auch etwas falsch?
Mein gott ist das kompliziert.
Hast du noch vieleicht noch ein Tip für mich?

du hast recht, manche funktionieren scheinbar nicht, bei manchen mußt du bei "T" wie Toggle... nachsehen, die findest du dann dort, und die gehen auch.
Wenn du was spezielles hast, frage direkt, vielleicht kann ich helfen
