Flight Ontario
Thunder Bay Scenery
Released Nov 2, 2002

Thunder Bay, ON, Canada
CYQT
This is a VFR scenery for the light aircraft enthusiast

Installation
Many feel that they do not need to read instructions. If you have no intentions of reading this readme, you will have little hope of correctly installing this scenery as this is a scenery that has very specific installation instructions.
We will not be replying to emails when the answer can be found within this readme.

1. Create a folder called “THBAY” anywhere, on any HD, on your system. Most place it in the FS2002\ADDON SCENERY folder
2. Inside that folder create a folder called “Scenery” and one called “Texture” NOT Textures, a common mistake.
3. Unzip TBPAK1.zip to the THBAY\Scenery folder
4. Unzip TBPAK2.zip and TBPAK3.zip to the THBAY\Texture folder
5. Start FS2002 and go to the library and click ADD NEW AREA. The scenery name you give it must be “TB”, not Thunder Bay, nor THBAY or any other name for that matter. We can’t stress it enough, the name must be “TB” and only ”TB”
6. .Close down FS2002. Open the scenery.cfg file found in your FS2002 root directory into Notepad. Scroll down to an area that looks something like the following:

[Area.xxx]
Title=TB
Layer=xxx
Active=TRUE
Local= ADDON SCENERY\THBAY
Remote=
Required=FALSE

Insert the following flatten lines by doing a copy and paste from the following example

[Area.xxx]

Then Save.

You are now finished the installation

Set up at CYQT – Thunder Bay, or CKG8 – Kakabeka Falls

***Noteworthy***
This is a Summer ONLY, day and night scenery. If you choose any other season other than summer you will see nothing but grey ground tile textures.
We will also suggest that you set the zoom level to 1.26 for any light aircraft as this setting is much more realistic than the default FS setting.
May we also suggest that you turn collisions off or you will be colliding with invisible models.
And finally, please copy runway12c.bmp from the THBAY\Texture folder to your FS2002\texture folder.

Enjoy!
