just one comment to that. It is no problem to fit PFD, ND and clocks on a 19 inch widescreen.

However, if you have a full scale setup a 19 inch widescreen will be too small. even a 20 inch widescreen is too small.

The 19 inch widescreen is exactly perfect for just the PFD and ND is you work true scale.

See the pictures below.

Its possible to use a bigger widescreen (23 inch ?) to display the clocks also, but problem here will be that they will be higher than the glareshield.

I will try to use a 5 inch or smaller (4 inch) tft for the clocks alone.

Below pictures of the Acer 19 inch widescreen TFT. My mip is exact scale (1:1) and it fits perfectly for PFD and ND.

...nice pictures and good overview (and really fine material ! )...

I'm not sure if I will do anything in full-scale setup. For my 'medium-budget' building project I will rather prefer compromises.
When I build a scale of 17cm (instead od 18cm origin) width in each case for PFD and ND and adding 3cm space between the intruments and 1,5cm on the left side, then there will be 7,5cm remaining for the clock....
...enough in case it is true that the Acer AL1916W has a width of 46cm.
Greetings
Norbert

41 cm's

The AL2016W is 43,5 cm

I'm talking about the actual pixel width, not the casing.

Ups.. so I think with this information I definitely have to say goodbye to the idea for integrating the clock...
thank you Stef,
Norbert
