Der Soundchip sollte auch DTS können und das ist bei den meisten Onboard-Chips nicht der Fall, zumindest kann es meiner nicht!

Die Audigy 2 kann es wiederum voll wiedergeben! Als Software-Player habe ich WinDVD 7 verwendet!

Dein Receiver kann zwar sehr viel, aber wenn der Onboard-Chip des Boards einfach kein DTS wiedergeben kann, wirst du einfach nichts hören!

DTS ist definitiv die bessere Audioquelle, da höhere Bitrate! Ich verwende bevorzugt nur DTS (auch DTS-ES sofern es die Quelle auf der DVD gibt), dazu brauchst aber dann 6.1 od. 7.1!

ich habe jetzt einmal die creative besorgt und werde die am nachmittag installieren.
wenn ich das richtige kabel besorgt habe, dann sollte ich ja heute was hören :)

Audigy 2 ZS hat aber keinen SPDIF/out ;)

doch hat sie ;)
sie hat den spdif aber ned über coax oder tos sondern über einen 3,5mm klinkenstecker.
creative sagt:
einfach ein stereo kabel klinke auf 2 chinch kaufen und den rechten chinch als coax verwenden.
so ein kabel habe ich einmal.

Bin zwar kein Soundexperte am PC - aber mit fehlte da was:

Du hast PCM erlaubt - meines wissens nach geht DTS nicht via PCM sonder via Bitstream.

Vielleicht hilft dir das was.

Hab ich bei meinem Onboard-Sound erlebt!

ich mag dts ja net, wegen der höheren dynamik. i hass dynamik. muss ma dauernd an der lautstärke fummeln. entweder man versteht nix oder es lupft an auf amal aus der couch oder ma isst popcorn und kriegt den friedhofsjodler weil irgendso an jonny an andren jonny auf amal erschiessen muss...:(

The only player that currently supports this is VLC.

Another solution that has proven to work is to use the 2 pin digital output of your CD/DVD-ROM and connect it directly to the digital input of your receiver/amp. This method will bypass your sound card all together, sound cards might alter the stream and render the audio useless so the bypass is preferable. Keep in mind that your sound card should be capable of passing compliant Redbook audio. DTS 5.1 Audio CDs might not work using the SPDIF digital out port if your sound card up-samples the stream to 48kHz (SoundBlasters upsample). Unfortunately it seems most complaint WDM drivers are not capable of this for the moment but if your running Win9x then the VxD drivers should work. However, the M-Audio 24/96 or Delta Dio are reported to play the DTS audio over SPDIF perfectly.

so. mein erster test lief nicht sehr gut.
die karte ist installliert und scheint zu funken. wenn ich einen kopfhörer anhänge passt alles.
nur wenn ich das 3,5mm klinkenkabel auf coax am verstärker anschliesse bleibt alles stumm.
keine ahnung warum. im internet schreiben viele, dass sie die creative so verwenden.
habe noch keinen plan was ich falsch mache.
